Features

Key Features

Rock Out Camber - Flat between your bindings for stability, Camber near the feet for response and Rocker on the tip and tail for press-ability.

Core

Aspen SLCT Core - Every single FSC certified wood strip is hand selected to ensure unparalleled core quality and lightness.

Laminates

BA MD Fiberglass - Medium density European-made fiberglass layers guarantee a consistent quality level, for light and lively boards.

Base

Sintered Base - An industry standard for quality sintered base materials. Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.

Fine Stone Finish - Salomon's fine stone finish is particularly efficient in Salomon's Sintered EG base, speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.

Details

All Mountain Edge Bevel - All Mountain Edge Bevel detunes the tip and tail to a 1° edge, holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut, back to a 2° bevel between the feet. This delivers the most solid edge hold with no hang-ups.

Quadralizer - An explosive combination of Equalizer and Quadratic allows high-speed carving as well as superior edge control in tight spots.

Royal Rubber Pads - 4mm soft Royal Rubber (Royal means extra thick) blocks inserted into the high-pressure zones of Salomon's ABS sidewalls dampen vibration and mellows the big impacts.

Salomon Assassin Snowboard
I am a progressing intermediate rider. I like to ride all-mountain with occasional visits to the park. This board works great for that. I have yet to try it in some pow, but it should do ok if I set the stance back all the way. I am riding the 153 with large Union Force bindings and 10.5 Burton boots. Surprisingly, with a waist width of just 247, I have yet to boot out on steep terrain. It has a slight, ever so slightly, just under medium flex. I'd say it's about a 4.5. It has very good edge grip, and a very fast base. The pop has a skate-like feel and you can get some good height on it. The board is quite maneuverable in technical terrain. Overall, a great all-mountain board. I would recommend this board to beginners becoming intermediates and true intermediates. If you are a more advanced rider, go look at the Salomon Assassin Pro.

Salomon Assassin Snowboard
I am a beginner and so far I love this board. I prefer to ride powder and this board give me so much control when learning to carve. It feels super lightweight and flexible, especially paired with my soft Salomon District Bindings. In the pictures the board looks Brown, but unless its under direct sunlight the board is a slick looking black. Doesn't it remind you of Game of Thrones the RED WEDDING? An Assassin indeed.

Is there a Difference between the 2020 and the 2019 Model (besides the graphics)?

After comparing information based on different websites, I wasn't able to find any noticeable updates, and the shape appears to be the exact same! You could reach out to Salomon to find out any additional information about this board.
