ProTec Street Knee & Elbow Open Back Skate Pad Set - black
I haven't been able to find the closed back, so I had to get the open back. Definitely more convenient taking them on and off, without removing my shoes. Hopefully the velcro on the neoprene holds up. Only time will tell.

This was one of 2 gift he received from us for Christmas. He was soooo happy. Thank you for getting both of them here in time for Christmas even when I ordered late in the month.

ProTec Street Knee & Elbow Open Back Skate Pad Set - black
I am a 48 year old man getting back into skateboarding. Although I went pad-less as a youngster, no way in hell am I doing that now. I’ve only used the knee pads thus far, and they have worked well. I like the open back. Makes putting them on and removing them pretty easy. They don’t noticeably restrict movement and I feel protected. Took a spill falling forward off the board, mostly caught myself, but also banged a little bit of knee which was fine. I do get pretty sweaty underneath, but that is to be expected with any protective gear. Would recommend if you’re looking for adequate knee and elbow protection for street skating. Make sure to use the sizing chart. Worked well for me.
