Material Explanation
REPREVE® Recycled Fiber - Fibers transformed from recycled plastic waste, REPREVE® is the leading performance fiber made from recycled materials. Celebrating 30 billion bottles recycled, REPREVE® is known as a "Champion of Sustainability" so you can rest assured every garment made with REPREVE® fibers means less plastic waste in landfills and in the ocean.
Seams
Fully Taped - Having outerwear with fully taped seams means that on the inside of the jacket all the seams are covered in tape to provide the most effective waterproofing. It can be considered a key feature if you live in a wet climate or are planning on wearing the jacket during heavy rains. The downside is that due to the full taping there is less breathability than you'd experience with critically taped seams.
Insulation
Low-Loft Synthetic - Low-loft insulation provides warmth without losing versatility. Because low-loft insulation is made of synthetic fibers it maintains much of its insulating ability even when wet. A lower loft rating means it won't keep you as warm as jackets with high loft but it's more versatile and dries more quickly than traditional down.
Insulation Rating (g)
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
