Features
GORE-TEX® - GORE-TEX® fabric is incredibly durable, waterproof, breathable, and totally windproof. A single square inch of this fabric contains 9 billion microscopic pores—each 20,000 times smaller than a raindrop, but 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor. Water can’t pass through the fabric, yet perspiration escapes with ease. You’ll find this next level molecular construction on all GORE-TEX® fabrics.
Fully Taped - Having outerwear with fully taped seams means that on the inside of the jacket all the seams are covered in tape to provide the most effective waterproofing. It can be considered a key feature if you live in a wet climate or are planning on wearing the jacket during heavy rains. The downside is that due to the full taping there is less breathability than you'd experience with critically taped seams.
YKK® AquaGuard® Water Repellent Zipper - A smooth, durable, water repellent zipper that enhances the function and performance of your high quality garment.
Zip Tech® Jacket to Pant Interface - Nothing lowers motivation faster than snow jammed down your pants and up the back of your jacket. A V-Co patented invention, the heavily imitated jacket-to-pant interface allows you to zip the powder skirt of any Volcom jacket to any Volcom pant, keeping snow out and heat in with no restriction of movement. Falling has never been more enjoyable.

Features are great, vents work well, ziptech works nicely, and the fabric is a must for storm conditions or wet spring days. I have the L Goretex jacket too and its a bombproof combination if you take good care of your stuff. Plus it looks awesome. I upgraded from the Ventral which was not waterproof at all and even on bluebird powder days I'd soak them.
I think the main reason I like these so much is that they look cool. The goretex (or any truly waterproof fabric) is a must have. And it's breathable enough, just not like event or c-change.
