Overview

First made in 1977, the Vans Slip-on gained popularity quickly amongst skateboarding culture. As times progressed Vans has made a fully redesigned shoe to keep up with the needs of skateboarders. Presenting the Vans Skate Slip-On, this shoe is apart of "Vans Skate Classics line" of footwear. These are the most iconic skate shoes created by Vans but revamped to fit the needs of modern day skateboarding. These shoes integrate tongue straps for a snug fit, DURACAP underlay for durability, SickStick a rubber compound used to make a grippy outsole, and internal heel shanks to deliver more board feel in order to create a classic yet modern skate shoe.

Features

Sole

Vulcanized - “Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don't provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.

Footbed

PopCush™ - Vans' PopCush insoles snap back and won't pack! This proprietary foam compound was meticulously tuned and tested for impact protection, superior cushioning, and custom energy return. This upgraded foam performs better than Vans' UltraCush™ compound for all types of skating so you can skate longer and go harder than ever before.

Details

Duracap™ - Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.

SickStick™ - Taking inspiration from Vans' beloved original gum rubber formula, the SickStick formula is the grippiest and the stickiest gum sole in Vans history. Extensively tested by Vans' team riders, the formula is uniquely calibrated to deliver enhanced grip and durability, and also make a firm bind to the foxing tape, so you can be in complete control of your board.

Vans Skate Slip-On Shoes - black/white
If you have a wide foot like a E or EE, you can get the correct width in Vans by going up a full size. No more cramped feet! Also, if you weigh more than you did as a teenager, go with the skate version.

Vans Skate Slip-On Shoes - black/black
Not a normal fitting shoe. Took 1-2 weeks to break it in. It was super tight around the ankle and the heel was a bit abrasive with the red stitching. Really cushiony but I definitely lost a lot of board feel which took awhile to get used to. They look sick and there aren't a lot of slip ons out there currently so they're worth the try
