Released in 1992 the Half Cab was a true icon of innovation. Street skaters in the 90's would cut off the collar of the original Vans Caballero pro model giving birth to the Half Cab. With skateboarding ever changing Vans completely revamped the Half Cab creating, the Vans Skate Half Cab. This shoe apart of "Vans Skate Classics" line of footwear. The most iconic skate shoes created by Vans but revamped to fit the needs of modern day skateboarding. These shoes integrate tongue straps for a snug fit, DURACAP underlay for durability, SickStick a rubber compound used to make a grippy outsole, and internal heel shanks to deliver more board feel in order to create a classic yet modern skate shoe.

Vans Skate Half Cab Shoes - black/white
Im 35, I cant skate in cardboard-thin slip-ons anymore. Great cushion throughout the sole, padding around the collar and tongue, which has elastic to keep it in place. Theyre durable too, I skated in them for an hour and a half and they look brand new. Probably only skating half cabs for the foreseeable future.

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. They are pretty similar, both shoes feature a lot of the same tech but the main difference I would say is that the Half Cabs fit a lot more like a classic skate shoe and are a bit wider where the Rowan 2s are styled a bit more after a sneaker and are narrower.
