Overview
The Brainstorm is an all-terrain beast that can handle advanced level freestyle and freeride at a far more friendly price. The Directional Twin shape, Backseat CamRock and medium flex help you surf through the powder with ease thanks to the catch-free rocker nose, early rise on the tail and powerful camber towards the back. Something you'll notice on your first run is the recessed tip and tail reduce swing weight which makes the board feel a couple centimeters shorter than it actually is. To counter balance this, Slash gave the Brainstorm a long effective edge and sidecut to help maintain stability at speeds.

Features
Backseat CamRock - Backseat CamRock gives you everything you need to slay your backcountry line. There is a touch more rocker in the nose to add float and improve maneuverability, matched with a small set-back camber between the bindings to keep your snowboard responsive.
Forever Wood Core - Combines four different wood cores: paulownia, spruce, beech and poplar, which reduces weight while increasing reactivity, pop and longevity in extreme conditions. Slash uses only European FSC wood species assembled and profiled in their Swiss woodshop.
Triax Fiberglass - Triax fiberglass provides superior pop, consistent torsional flex, and more overall response.
Landing Strip Stringers - Strips of Kevlar and carbon fiber placed from the inserts to the tips in the nose and tail to support landings and reduce washouts. This design also helps dampen high-speed chatter, offer stability at speed and load up potent ollies.
Sintered Base 6000 - This sintered base is fast, dense, durable, and ready to perform. It has been specially made for all your street and park needs.
Tip Protectors - Thin and light, but surprisingly strong, aluminum protectors on the tail and/or nose protect the board from the damage that can result from impacts. This small detail makes a big difference for the durability of the deck, especially if your repertoire is more park/urban focused.
Impact Damping - This small counter radius (bump) placed in the middle of the board's sidecut improves edge hold without creating drag or strange edge grip. It adds extra bite on ice and turns regular into confident carves.
Steel Edges - Slash's edges have 35% more steel than stock edges from other companies. This makes the edges stronger and more durable to enhance the life of the board.
Progressive Sidecut - Sidecut makes a snowboard turn. Progressive Sidecut is Slash's enhanced sidecut design that makes the board's contact points more relevant for smoother turns.
Kick Stand - Slash's Original Identity shape saves material and weight and also stands up without tipping over like rounded boards do!
Factory Waxed - All Slash boards are factory waxed with One Ball Jay wax and are ready to shred straight out of the wrapper.
