Hard plastic or rubber, can't tell the difference on these, that keeps my board up to avoid wheel bite and the multiple holes make it lightweight to aid in those doing tricks. I think that it's strong material coupled with it's lightweight and multiple holes for different truck mounting systems makes this a great choice for anyone seeking risers.
