Ride Style
Carving/Cruising - Carving/cruising wheels meet the needs of many different skate disciplines but generally, have a good roll speed and are soft enough to handle craggy streets riddled with cracks and rocks.
Core Placement
Centerset - The hubs in these wheels are set equidistant from the lips, resulting in an even wear and a controlled slide.
Word to the wise: They can be rotated (like your car's tires) to promote even wear and a longer lifespan.
Wheel Edge
Round Lip - Breaks traction more easily and offers smoother transitions from grip to slide. Round lip wheels are generally preferred for freeriding.
Surface Type
Stone Ground - Perfect for freeride. With zero break-in needed, stone ground wheels slide much easier than smooth wheels, right out of the cellophane.
Wheel Features
9-Ball Formula - Sector 9's standard formula urethane, perfect for all-around cruising or ripping.
Durometer
78a - The most common durometer we see amongst cruiser wheels. They have great grip for cornering and easily roll over cracks, small rocks and the like.

Sector 9 61mm Nineballs Longboard Wheels - green (78a)
Pretty solid so far. Compared to my 53mm OJ keyframes, these roll by like a dream. you will need risers, especially if you ride loose. Still, quality wheels. Highly recomendo!

Sector 9 61mm Nineballs Longboard Wheels - blue (78a)
These wheels roll through and over anything. I have an old Cab deck that still had some life left in it. Mounted these up specifically to skate those chunky street spots where hard wheels simply wont work. These wheels allow you to be creative on where your able to skate. Let's face it, that's what it's all about!

Sector 9 61mm Nineballs Longboard Wheels - red (78a)
These wheels are a great size, soft enough to roll over awful pavement, and the stone ground finish is great. Got these for 10% off so the price couldn’t be beat either

Sector 9 61mm Nineballs Longboard Wheels - blue (78a)
Dope wheels got some wear on mine now holds a line while carving with a little slippery slidey if you push into it or move your foot forward
I put on 2x 1/8" risers to an old 8.25" deck and this thing flies around the neighborhood, annihilates cracks and cobble, and still cracks a nice ollie onto or off a curb.
I've skated other "filmer" wheels with 85a to 92a duro. No reason to ever go in between unless you are actually filming. Softer wheels are best for cruising, and have a 99a+ duro set-up for street/park.
