ProTec is the OG skate pad and still rules

ProTec Street Wrist Guards - black
So, I'm from the early 80s days and ProTec were the only real pad around. I still have my stinky ProTec knee pads (j/k they don't stink anymore) but I just bought a pair of wrist guards from Tactics cos I couldn't find them in any local shops around here. I'm old and don't wanna crack my wrists on the concrete parks they have these days. They fit just right of course and they don't get in the way when I'm grabbing my board. Ok, I'm not airing out or doing inverts anymore but I'll bust a sweeper. I can still do that at least. On a bank.

Product was in stock and fairly priced. Item was shipped out ASAP from Tactics end and was greatly appreciated. Tactics as always gets a 5 star review.

The courier service could have performed better, item sat at local office for a couple days before delivery.

The actual product is...so so. The wrist guards I was replacing where made of a thinner more breathable material. This thinner breathable material is GREAT for Florida heat, however the ProTec guards build material will probably hold up better in the long run.

The plastic palm splint on my old guards was a lot stiffer material, was thicker, and covered a wider area of the palm. These ProTec guards seem to use a thinner bendable plastic palm splint and is the "typical" 1 1/2" width piece of plastic and does not provide added protection to the thumb and pinky areas of the palm as my old ones did.

Overall, ProTec has been in the game for years, and am sure these will do a sufficient job. That being said, I do prefer my older guards as they are more comfortable and feel like they would add greater protection on bad falls.

I have super tiny wrists and was having a hard time finding a pair that would fit me. These fit great! And when I do fall whole roller skating the metal bar totally protects my wrists and I barely feel the impact.

I'm an old guy, so I have to protect my wrists. I had an older set of these that needed to be replaced. They work, but I think the fake leather pieces that hold the plastic could be more durable. Also, my hands are not massive, but the large is small on me. Next time I will order XL.
Anyway, for the price, they're pretty good. They last a few years and protect my wrists.

good quality, I found the recommended size is small on my hands, they'll be ok for my caliber of skating though.
