You'll get the feel of it in an hour or two and begin to realize you can do things riding a Flight deck that cannot be done on a 7-ply. Flight decks allow you to extend your limits, because they let you ollie higher, flip faster, do tricks more easily, and they don't break in two like a 7-ply.

Powell Peralta Andy Anderson Heron 9.13 Flight Skateboard Deck
My kids just started skateboarding; I haven't since 2000. They wanted me to skate with them, so after doing a ton of research, I landed on the Anderson Heron 9.13. This thing has been absolutely awesome! I was worried about finding my balance and footing after taking so many years away, and that was made worse by having foot surgery and losing some of my foot. This thing has me solid as a rock and it felt like I hadn't missed a step. Definitely grab this if you want to be able to just ride or even try a few tricks (busted my butt trying an ollie, but that's on me!) The fact they sold it complete and shipped was awesome too. Not only is this the most beautiful board I’ve owned in my 37 years of skating, but it actually rips too. It’s big, but it’s light. It has good flex, but not too much. It’s got Great pop. It’s an awesome park / cruise board. But a little big for flip tricks. But honestly I’m probably going to get a second one just to hang on my wall. The unique shape and graphic are both beautiful and eye catching.

My son got into skateboarding heavy, I picked up this deck for him, , flight decks are great and last a lot longer than normal deck material, great for any skater that puts a lot of punishment on a deck , long lasting
