Timeless style meets winter warmth with the Patagonia Isthmus Lined Hoody Jacket. Crafted from NetPlus® postconsumer recycled nylon with a DWR coating, this jacket has a recycled polyester sherpa fleece body lining with a recycled polyester taffeta sleeve lining, providing warmth and water-resistance. Featuring front handwarmer pockets and and rib-knit cuffs and hem, you'll look good and feel better knowing this jacket is made from recycled products and is Fair Trade Certified™.
NetPlus® - NetPlus® is made from discarded fishing nets that are collected in fishing communities in South America. These nets are sorted, cleaned, and shredded in Chile, which in turn has helped to keep more than 28 tons of plastic waste out of our oceans.
Recycled Nylon - Nylon accounts for about 10% of ocean debris. By purchasing a product made with recycled nylon you are helping to minimize the growth of the 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean.
Recycled Polyester - Saves about 4.5 plastic bottles from the landfill per garment.
Thermolite® - Thermolite insulation has hollow core fibers that trap warm air, plus a larger surface area to boost the evaporation of moisture. The result is high performance warmth and dryness.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the jacket.
Fair Trade Certified™ Sewing - For every Fair Trade Certified™ item produced for Patagonia, they pay a community-development premium. The money goes into an account controlled by the cooperative of farmers or association of factory workers who decide how best to use it. The funds are designated for social, economic and environmental development projects. For example, cotton farmers may choose to use the money for agricultural improvements, rainwater catchment systems or to build a school or a health clinic. Workers in Fair Trade factories may invest in healthcare for their children, bicycles for easier transit to and from work or a cash bonus.
All workers in the factories and farms that make Fair Trade Certified™ clothing benefit from the funds, whether they work directly on Patagonia products or not.
Water Resistant Fabric - A Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish allows fabric to shed moisture and prevents saturation to keep you warmer. DWR also helps repel oils and stains which can affect the fabric's breathability. Clothing with a DWR finish is a must in snowy or wet conditions.
