Features

Sole

Cupsole - Durable and shock-absorbing to provide the best impact protection against hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than a vulcanized sole but don't provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.

Details

Laser Perforation - Adds breathability to the shoe so your feet feel better when you're working up a sweat.

Mesh Tongue - Allows for greater breathability which means your feet feel better while you're shredding that 'crete.

OrthoLite® Insole - OrthoLite® insoles are designed to support the unique structure of the human foot providing comfort and impact cushioning.

Ndurance® Rubber Outsole - Ndurance® is a highly durable rubber compound that increases the lifespan of this shoe's outsole.

New Balance Numeric 440 v2 Wide Skate Shoes - brown/black
I love that there is an actual skate shoe in a wide size. These didn't need to stretch to feel good on my feet that are wide at the ball / foot shaped (I like Lems for most shoes). The heel cup isn't super loose like some shoes that are wide all over instead of just in the front.
As a skate shoe they feel great to me, coming off another cupsole. I've only had a few pairs of skate shoes but know that Mitchie Brusco of skateiQ skates the 440 so that's as good an endorsement as I need. The grip isn't quite what the Michelin soles of my last couple pairs were, but it's solid.

Wider toe box very comfortable for wider feet or bunion problems.
