While we wait for the Olympics to kick off, here are a few questions we've been pondering during the lead up to the big games!
When did Skateboarding become an Olympic Sport?
Skateboarding made its highly anticipated debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (fun fact: held in 2021) and is here to stay. It's bringing its unique blend of athleticism, creativity, and street style to the Olympic scene.
When and Where is Skateboarding at the Paris Olympics?
The Paris 2024 Olympic skateboarding competition will take place at the iconic Place de la Concorde, right in the heart of the French capital.
Who Gets to Compete in Olympic Skateboarding?
Just like any Olympic sport, there's a qualifying process to determine who gets to compete for gold. National teams and individual skaters will earn spots based on their performance in World Skateboarding Championship events and other qualifying competitions throughout the year. There will be 44 men and 44 women competing.
