Tactics Boardshop is proud to announce the addition of Jared Elston to its snow team.
Elston, a 16-year-old from Bend, is an up-and-comer in the Mt. Bachelor snowboarding scene who consistently dominates the Central Oregon contest series. He also has been featured in recent video parts highlighted by Snowboarder Magazine and Transworld Snowboarding, riding alongside fellow Tactics team riders Jonah Owen, Randal Seaton, Justin Norman, and others. 
Tactics first hooked up with Elston last fall following recommendations from Norman and Seaton. “Jared has always been on my radar,” said Norman, who joined the Tactics team in 2013. “He is a genuine snowboarder who simply loves being on the mountain riding with his friends.”
“Jared is going places,” according to Tactics Snow TM Kyle Richner. “There are few riders out there who make snowboarding look as easy as Jared does. In addition to being really young and talented, Jared loves snowboarding and is super fun to ride with. We are stoked to have someone repping the contest scene for us.”
Elston grew up in Montana and has been riding for Oakley for the past six years. He moved to Bend in 2013, eventually joining Owen, Seaton, and Norman on the Mt. Bachelor snowboard team.
“It’s an honor to be a part of the crew,” Elston said. “I love the variety of riders and their different skill sets. All these dudes are really cool and I’m glad to be supporting such a rad shop.”
Jared will continue to pursue making a name for himself in contest snowboarding in 2015. Watch for him competing in the Revolution Tour, U.S. OPEN, and The Launch.
