Tactics Sapporo | Grand Opening Reception

After 3+ years in the making,

with the hard work of many across Oregon and Japan, we could not be more hyped about the opening of Tactics Sapporo. Portland Oregon and Sapporo Japan are sister cities, both with a thriving skateboarding and snowboarding community, surrounded by beautiful nature and mountains, with great food, good beer, a little grunge, and amazing people. This is why Sapporo was such a natural fit for Tactics.

The grand opening reception party was an exceptional night, and the community came out for it. It was a who’s-who of the Japanese Skateboarding and Snowboarding scene. Pros, sales reps, distributors, local rippers, brands, other shop owners, and the local community all came out for a fun night of free beers, product giveaways, and a raffle to support B4BC Japan.

The big surprise of the night was when we announced Raibu Katayama was officially joining the Tactics Global Snow Team! We surprised him with the whole crew wearing custom Raibu + Tactics tee shirts and a champagne toast to celebrate him now being part of the team. The party continued at the local snowboard bar, Zanshin, until the wee hours of the night.
