Skate Rising Feed the Need Tour Recap
After making four stops in northern California, the Skate Rising Feed the Need Tour rolled into our home town of Eugene Oregon on the International Day of Service for their final stop and flagship event at WJ Skatepark. The girls were ready to rip, but lead organizer Calli Kelsay first rallied the group to help build homeless care kits and commit to kindness by discussing bullying and pledging not to be a part of it. Throughout the tour, over 1,000 care kits were built and donated by more than 250 total participants.
Once the hard part was done, the girls strapped on their helmets and started rolling with the help of Stomp professional coaches, including Tactics team riders Amelia Brodka, Nick Propios, Tim McCoy, and local ripper Mason Bucknell. We were proud to support and take part in such an amazing event that both spreads the love of skateboarding and works to make a possitive impact on the greater community.
