Nike SB Zoom Dunk Low Elite Skate Shoes Wear Test Review

Introducing the newest member of the Dunk family, the Nike SB Zoom Dunk Low Elite. Released 15 years after the original SB Dunk, the Dunk Elite is a visual representation of the advances Nike has made in the time since. The one-piece upper eliminates nearly all seams in the high-wear areas to allow for stronger durability, while a larger Zoom Air unit in the midsole provides superior comfort and impact protection. Low profile mesh panels and tongues provide maximum breathability while shedding unnecessary bulk and weight.

Tactics team rider and customer service rep, Sean Donnelly, skated a pair for about a month and noticed right away that the Dunk Elite broke in more quickly than the OG Dunk or the Dunk IW. Compared to most shoes he skates, Sean also found the Elite's to be noticeably lighter and more breathable. Even with the more slim design, he still considers them to be on the bulky side. However, the support and durability was superior to most low profile shoes. All-in-all, the shoes performed well; breathable, durable and comfortable. Sean recommends the Dunk Low Elite to skaters who prefer cupsoles and are looking for a long lasting, lightweight shoe.
