Nike SB Janoski Slip Skate Shoes Wear Test Review
Nike SB's classic Stefan Janoski skate shoe collection just got even bigger. The Janoski Slip gives you the same look and feel of the original with a lace-less upper for comfort and convenience. Ripped laces are a pet peeve of every skater, so having an elastic collar that stays tight without laces is a huge plus.
If you've ever skated the original Janoskis, you wont be surprised that the slip-ons broke in quickly and offered natural board feel. The Zoom Air insole gave Drake enough support to feel confident jumping down stairs, but if gaps and big sets are your thing, you may want to check out the Janoski Hyperfeel. The obvious question about a slip-on is, "does it stay tight enough?" Drake skated a pair in his standard size a thought they held his his foot snugly without slippage. If you're still concerned about the shoes being too loose, you may want to try buying them a half size down.
Drake typically tears through shoes very quickly and this pair held up similarly to most others he's skated. After three weeks of skating he's starting to tear some wholes in the suede, but the outsole still has plenty of grippy tread.
Not diggin' the slips? You can't go wrong with the Janoski OG.
