Lakai Sheffield Skate Shoes Wear Test Review

Lakai's newest model, the Sheffield, is something of a vulcanized little brother to one of Lakai's most legendary shoes, the Manchester. Not only does the Sheffield draw it's design mainly from the Manchester, but both shoes happen to be named after cities in England. While we don't claim to know why they chose those cities, we do, however, think it's pretty cool.

We had our fanciest shoe reviewer, none other than Tim McCoy, take a pair of Sheffields out for a pair of spins at Junction City skatepark to see what he thought about them. Tim's feet are a little bit wider than most, so he was pleasantly surprised to find that the shoes accommodated them. Tim's also very particular about skating in broken-in shoes, so the fact that the Sheffields felt as good as they did out of the box was a huge plus for him. Elastic tongue bands keep the shoe nice and tight to your feet for added control in your flick. The tread pattern on the sole is very deep, meaning that even when worn down it still had plenty of grip left. After three weeks of skating in them, other than a couple ripped laces and some wear in the flick areas, the Sheffields still had plenty of life.

Yet another functional, durable, good-looking instant-classic from the good folks at Lakai Limited Footwear. Click the link below to grab a pair of Sheffields for yourself!
