Gabe Ferguson | Welcome to the Team
We're proud to welcome Gabe Ferguson, one of the most talented young guns in snowboarding, to our team. At only seventeen years old, Gabe has become an international superpipe competitor and an accomplished backcountry pow ripper. As a Bend, Oregon local, and close friend to team riders Jared Elston and Jake Selover, Gabe is a natural fit for our snow team and we can't wait to have him with us on the mountain for our future adventures.
Get to know him a little better in the Q&A below, and watch him shred in the video above, produced by Tyler Orton. Photo by Pete Alport.
What’s up Gabe! First off, welcome to the Tactics squad. We are stoked to have you on board. We have had a pretty epic winter here in the PNW. What have you been up to lately?
Yo! I've been bouncing around a little bit between Oregon shredding and some contest stuff. But it definitely has been an epic winter at Mt. Bachelor! Every day I've gone up has been a blast!!
It’s been good one for sure. So what are you plans for the rest of the winter? Are you planning on staying around here or you going to be traveling?
Well I just got back from the US Open at Vail so now the contests are over for the season. My plan is to kind of follow my brother around and film with him! Hopefully around home and some new zones!!
Sounds like a great way to end the season. So what’s it like having a brother that’s as deep into snowboarding as you are? Do you guys find yourselves being really competitive with each other?
It’s been very helpful and great having a brother to look up to and ride with! We're not very competitive, I always just want him to kill it!
Ha, well you guys seem pretty productive together. So what made you want to get connected with Tactics?
I think it's really sick Tactics got a shop in down town Bend! It's definitely cool to have a cool local snowboard shop again! And I'm happy I'm part of the family.
Well we could not be more stoked to have you as a part of the team. Any last words or shout outs?
Im super stoked to be a part of the squad, and I would love to give a shout out to my Sloth boys back in Bend!! Can't wait to come home and shred pow!!
