Tactics Boardshop in Eugene, Ore., is pleased to announce the addition of Florida-native Dalton Dern to its skate team.
Having recently moved to Oceanside, Calif., Dern is now making an impact on the west coast skate scene. He’s been sponsored by Portland-based Lifeblood Skateboards since 2010. This summer he won Tactics’ inaugural Northwest Jam in Eugene, then topped the podium at the Lowcard/Blood Wizard Invitational Ramp Jam in San Francisco.
“Growing up as a young skater, I always ordered gear from Tactics and now I’m stoked to be a part of the team!” Dern said. “They got my back to help me succeed with my goals in skating and I got their back, which is important with a sponsor.”
“Dalton’s been on our radar for a while now,” said Tactics skate team manager Benson Ka’ai. “I watched him barely miss the cut at the Pro-Tec Pool Party earlier this year, and then he came to Eugene and crushed Northwest Jam. His name came up at our NWJ After Party and we reached out to Dalton about being his shop sponsor. He was down. We’re down. We’re stoked on his addition.”
Dern used his Northwest Jam prize money and relocated from Florida to Southern California a few months ago where he says the plan is to, “…just keep skating, traveling and filming more and more video parts!”
