This cozy jacket offers the warmth and comfort of Low-Loft Synthetic insulation and 10k of waterproofing and breathability. The Fawn has all the essentials to keep you comfy for long days on the mountain, like a V-Science Breathable Lining System to allow proper airflow to prevent overheating, and a Zip Tech® jacket-to-pant interface so you can zip the jacket to any compatible pair of Volcom pants to seal out the cold and snow.
Critically Taped - On outerwear with critically taped seams you only have taping at the key points where potential leakage can occur. This is acceptable, or even advantageous if you live in a dry climate, if you're more concerned with breathability than dealing with wet weather then outerwear featuring critically taped seams is the way to go.
Low-Loft Synthetic - Low-loft insulation provides warmth without losing versatility. Because low-loft insulation is made of synthetic fibers it maintains much of its insulating ability even when wet. A lower loft rating means it won't keep you as warm as jackets with high loft but it's more versatile and dries more quickly than traditional down.
Synthetic insulation is measured in grams, so a jacket with a 80g rating simply means that a 1 meter by 1 meter piece of that particular jacket's insulation weighs 80 grams. The higher the rating, the warmer the outerwear.
Zip Tech® Jacket to Pant Interface - Nothing lowers motivation faster than snow jammed down your pants and up the back of your jacket. A V-Co patented invention Zip Tech® allows you to zip the powder skirt of any Volcom jacket to any Volcom pant, keeping snow out and heat in with no restriction of movement.
