Overview
With his brother Jesse acting as his creative director, snowboarding superstar Shaun White worked closely with Oakley during the creation of the Holbrook polarized sunglasses. Together they went back to vintage styles like the original Oakley Frogskins then set out to distill their own vision of American cool. Holbrook is a timeless classic that echoes the screen heroes from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, the icons who inspired youth with their own brand of defiance.

Features
6 Base Curvature - The base curvature corresponds to the curve of the lens. The higher the number, the higher the curve. 6 base styles have a “flatter” look. 8-9 base curves hug closer to the face.
O Matter Frame Material - This lightweight synthetic is engineered for all-day comfort, shock absorption and durability against the punishment of environmental extremes.
Three-Point Fit - Oakley’s unique Three-Point Fit holds the lenses in precise optical alignment. Their frame materials balance durability and comfort with impact absorption for athletic competition, and these frame geometries maximize your peripheral vision.
Meets or Exceeds Z80.3 Impact Standards - Optical precision and impact resistance meet or exceed ANSI Z80.3 optical and basic impact standards.
These measurements include the width of the lens, the width of the bridge, the height of the lens and the length of the arms measured in that order.
HD Polarized - By selectively filtering directional light, glare from roads, water, and snow is reduced greatly.
Iridium® - A lens coating specifically formulated for optimal balance between reflection, transmission and absorption.
Plutonite 100% UV Protection - Lightweight material offering comfort and protection against impact and ultraviolet radiation.
The impact-resistant material blocks 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC blue light.
Prizm™ Daily Lenses - For fine-tuned color definitions, making everything vivid and vibrant, enhancing detail for an optimized experience.
Pro Tip - Are polarized sunglasses better? Are they worth the price?
In many cases, yes. All sunglasses reduce brightness and block some amount of harmful UV rays. However, only polarized sunglasses are scientifically constructed to eliminate glare. Not just reduce it, but eliminate it. Fully polarized sunglasses reduce eye strain and help you see better around water, snow, sand or any other reflective surroundings.
Reviews
HE LOVES THEM!! They are not cheaply made at all, super study, and the lenses are polar. He is a taller kid, and so longer, face, but they fit nice and snug, he said that they really block out the side light suprisingly! It is very expensive, I know, but...he was skating all day in the parking lot, with snow reflecting the sun...he said the reflection was not an issue, so I feel safe for vision and UV rays. Also, they are TOUGH built, so, even with falls, like protection for eyes in my opinion. I think for safety...these are important. It is a birthday and Christmas gift combined, and he sort of convinced me to buy them...if you can for your kid, they are recommended, also, his girlfriend liked wearing them, so that is good too! not the 1980s style Frogskins at all, which seem 1980s, these are very modern!
First, Tactics has great service and lowest prices. I could not find these shades at any lower price other than ebay. The shades are completely matte with matte rubberish icons (rubber/poly mesh). Second, as for these lenses, the Prizm daily lenses are 14% transparent in comparison to the ird. polarized (10%). I found the information from Oakley to be true. The color has a light grey effect but in dark conditions may seem slight purple or brown and your eyes can be slightly seen 3 ft from a perspective (at a distance it is blacked out). Didn't like the Dark gold-ish icons and mirror effect on the iridium polarized combo and am very pleased with the Prizm dailys in direct sunlight. I would have rated 4-4.5 stars for not having a darker lens tone, but its the best option in quality for the Holbrooks.
